Span Tech LLC opens new Sales & Service Center in Waukesha

Welcome to Waukesha Span Tech!

Span Tech LLC®, a global manufacturer of custom-built plastic chain conveyor systems based in Kentucky, has opened a new 8,000 square foot Sales & Service Center and testing facility in Waukesha. This is Span Tech’s first location in the Midwest. Span Tech LLC’s conveyor systems that are easier to clean than others, making its product attractive to food and beverage manufacturers. The company chose to locate in southeast Wisconsin because many of its customers in the food and beverage industry are also located here.

The Sales & Service Center will be devoted to capability demonstrations, service training and product testing. Bud Layne, CEO of Span Tech, believes the expansion is very beneficial in creating better partnerships with clients. “This will provide our customers with the opportunity to see our conveyors up close and test products specific to their needs. The goal is to educate current and future partners on the full capabilities of Span Tech conveyors and help them determine which products will best meet their needs,” said Layne.

The Waukesha County Center for Growth helped Span Tech find a location in the county that best fit their criteria. “A fifth of all businesses in Waukesha County are manufacturers, and nearly 75 percent of those are small businesses,” said Tim Casey, director of economic development for the Waukesha County Center for Growth. “We’re trying to build up the supply chain for our key industries in Waukesha County and southeast Wisconsin as a whole, and Span Tech fits very nicely into that. We do whatever we can to help our existing manufacturers and attract new ones to create a more vibrant supply chain in southeast Wisconsin.”
